GESTALT
therapy
Fritz Perls, psychoanalyst and creator of Gestalt, knew the power that the unconscious exerts over reality. He incorporated other disciplines that enrich this work, such as meditation, drawing, dance and literature. Focusing on the “here and now”, this school of therapy incorporates unfinished business and relies on our capacity for organismic self-regulation. Work with polarities, the empty chair technique and body language help encourage realization.
“Gestalt therapy is not a set of techniques, but rather the transmission of an attitude, a way of being in life.”
Claudio Naranjo, psychiatrist.
